Title and Summary

Manager, Product Management

As the product manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing the data strategy and data governance for commercial solutions. Defines business and technical requirements and work closely with engineering teams to build out the scalable solutions using data.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the data strategy and governance with Commercial Data as Service program.
  • Define, maintain and communicate the product roadmap including the short term and long term vision.
  • Collaborate and work with engineering teams to develop the quality product features to improve the customer experience.
  • Data governance: Participate in establishing and maintaining data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, compliance, and security, while adhering to industry best practices and regulations
  • Identity the opportunities and new use cases to build the best in class solutions which provides business value to the customers.
  • Act as a data expert and understand the organizational data flows and its use to develop the innovative analytics solutions.
  • Compile market research to support improvements to products.
  • Research and identify potential partners for evaluation as business partners to support product areas
  • Gather information to assess MasterCard's competitive positioning versus market
  • Product development: Participate in the end-to-end development lifecycle of data products, from concept to launch, including defining product requirements, user stories, and ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Market research: Participate in market analysis and stay updated on industry trends to identify opportunities and threats, and make data-driven decisions regarding product enhancements and new offerings.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to define data product features, resolve technical issues, and drive successful product development.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Advanced degree preferred


Knowledge / Experience:

  • Experience in Financial Services is preferred.
  • Experience in product management and product development desirable


Skills/ Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, planning and follow-up skills
  • Strong analytical skills desirable
  • Business Acumen with the ability to provide solutions that drive positive results to the customer and MasterCard
  • Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success while operating within a team.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. Arlington, Virginia: $137,000 - $219,000 USD
